Biography:
Andy Francis (b.1986) is an award-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist. His music has been performed at festivals, conferences, and universities across the United States and abroad, including Internacional de Clarinet Pradesthe (Spain), The Texas Music Educators Association Annual Conference, ClarinetFest, The Michigan Music Teachers Association Annual Conference, The Society of Composers, Inc., the American Choral Directors Association, the College Band Directors National Association, the College Music Society, VOX Novus concert series (New York), and many others.
Dr. Francis has enjoyed performances of his music from many national recognized ensembles, including the West Point Woodwind Quintet, Alarm Will Sound, and the Dali String Quartet.
He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in composition and a Master of Music degree in music theory pedagogy from Michigan State University, a Master of Music degree in composition from Central Michigan University, and two Bachelor of Music degrees cum laude in performance and composition from Ohio University.
